PG&E Will Replace Half of its Board

PG&E announced that half of its board of directors is not expected to run for re-election at its annual shareholder meeting in May. State Senator Bill Dodd (D-Napa) said “While the change in the board is welcome, it’s still taken way too long.” PG&E promises that the new proposed board members will bring a fresh perspective to management of the company, but a focus on safety would be much more appropriate.

Information on Debris Removal

Northern California Fire Lawyers has heard reports that a private contractor hired by the state to cleanup properties has assured fire survivors that they would receive 24-hours’ notice of when crews would begin the cleanup of their property, yet the company has failed to adhere to this notice period. Please be aware of this issue.

Bidwell Canyon Campground

Camp Fire evacuees are now facing an eviction from the Lime Saddle Campground on the northwest side of Lake Oroville. These campsites accommodate RV’s, trailers and tents. There is a 30-day limit for stays at the campground that has been extended by a week for some Camp Fire survivors. However, after the extension, campers will be asked to leave to make room for others who need a temporary place to stay. Another campsite, Bidwell Canyon Campground, which is located at the south side of Lake Oroville, is now being setup for Camp Fire survivors. This campsite has approximately 75 sites that can accommodate up to 8 people per site.
