Nor Cal Fire Lawyers’ Dario de Ghetaldi Appointed to Leadership in PG&E Fire Lawsuits

“I am honored to serve in this position and to represent the interests of those people who suffered losses as a result of the North Bay Fires,” said Dario. “We are committed to holding PG&E responsible for its role in the fires, and to obtaining justice for the victims and the community.”

On March 7, 2018, Northern California Fire Lawyers’ Dario de Ghetaldi was appointed by San Francisco Superior Court Judge Karnow to the Plaintiffs’ Executive Committee in the coordinated California North Bay Fire Cases, representing the interests of thousands of individual plaintiffs in lawsuits against PG&E as a result of the North Bay Fires.

Numerous lawsuits are still being filed on behalf of victims of the October 2017 North Bay Fires, alleging that PG&E was negligent in failing to properly inspect and maintain its infrastructure and clear vegetation from power lines, which ultimately caused the fires. In January 2018, the lawsuits were coordinated and consolidated in a judicial council coordination proceeding (JCCP), which allows for the common issues in the lawsuits to be handled by one judge in order to promote efficiency and convenience for both sides.

As a member of the Plaintiffs’ Executive Committee, Dario and other court-appointed leadership, will serve a key role in communicating with the Court and preparing the case against PG&E.

“I am honored to serve in this position and to represent the interests of those people who suffered losses as a result of the North Bay Fires,” said Dario. “We are committed to holding PG&E responsible for its role in the fires, and to obtaining justice for the victims and the community.”
